Description
Tropical Angel is a game about water-skiing in a dangerous environment. The player controls a female water-skier who needs to complete several courses (called 'tests' in-game) before time expires. Each course is divided into six parts separated by gates (checkpoints). The courses are littered with rocks which, when hit, cause the girl to fall from the ski and restart at the latest checkpoint loosing several precious seconds. If the player doesn't finish a course in time it's game over. As the game progresses more elements are introduces: ramps that send the girl flying in the air, buoys that grant bonus points if the player manages to ski between them, and sharks that bring game to game over instantly if they touch the girl. The game is viewed in 3D perspective with camera placed behind the water-skier. An extra button in dedicated to turning the girl around and proceeding backwards. The player cannot control the character when doing so, but receives extra points for this.
